The legendary powerhouse band Tower of Power performs Saturday night at Williamsburg Live, with the fusion band TAUK as the opening act.

For over 55 years, Tower of Power has delivered the best in funk and soul music, pairing irresistible grooves with a party spirit, and charting hits like “So Very Hard to Go,” “What Is Hip?,” “You’re Still A Young Man” and more to fans who, then and now, couldn’t get enough of that funky stuff. In addition to their own hits, they’ve backed such iconic artists as Otis Redding, Elton John, Santana, the Grateful Dead, John Lee Hooker, Aerosmith, Bonnie Raitt, and countless others.

Opening for Tower of Power is the fusion band TAUK, blending elements of progressive rock, funk, and soul into a melodic, groove-driven blend that’s drawing acclaim and fans on recordings and on the road.
