Marketing & Public Relations Intern

Virginia Arts Festival (VAF) is seeking motivated, creative, and marketing-savvy interns to join our in-office team each semester. If you're looking for hands-on experience in arts marketing, public relations, and social media—and you’re excited about supporting major performances and cultural events—this is the opportunity for you.

This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who want to grow their skills, contribute fresh ideas, and build a strong professional foundation in marketing and communications.

Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized, full-time Staff Accountant who enjoys supporting a small group with a big mission. Primary responsibilities include payroll, reconciliations, reporting, registration and tax filings, and insurance processing. The ideal candidate has a degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience. The position reports directly to the CFO.

Norfolk NATO Festival Parade and Warehouse Associate

We are seeking an hourly/seasonal part-time Parade and Warehouse Associate to assist the Norfolk NATO Festival team at the warehouse and building of the floats leading up to events on Saturday, April 26. 2025.

Seasonal Production Positions Available

The Virginia Arts Festival, entering its 29th season, is a 10-week festival with a 75-plus performance schedule. We are currently seeking experienced individuals for our Seasonal Production Staff. Experience in one or some of the following areas preferred: Stage Management, Lighting/Electrics, Sound, General Run Crew, Event Management, and Operations. Employment dates vary according to position and event and staff are typically scheduled on an as needed basis. There is some pre-season work available, but most work opportunities can begin late March and continue through the beginning of July.
