Courage & Commitment:
A Salute to Women in the Military

Just one hundred years ago, women were allowed to serve in uniform for the first time. More than 30,000 volunteered during the First World War. Today, one sixth of all Active-Duty service members are women and these 230,000+ women serve in every branch in virtually every capacity.

“Let the generations know that women in uniform also guaranteed their freedom.”
Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, Medal of Honor Recipient
